Tug-O-War.

Pulling my string, this flesh-vessel,
its circuits and wires, inspire
a tug-o-war.

Unnecessarily agonizing tension.
Kill it before it kills me.

Games push me farther away.
Nothing left to prove.
Challenge is just a wall I walk
around.

I have accepted my longings
and shortcomings.
Try to flow with them.
If need be, even drown.

I plow down
along my own wayward path,
stuck in the story
of a meaty puppeteer
and a reluctant marionette.
